Beach Volleyball Courts

The Facility
The Principia College varsity beach volleyball program is proud to call The Sand Box their home venue for practice and competitions.  These four beautiful courts are located behind and beneath the outdoor tennis courts.  The first two courts were built in the fall of 2012, and the second two courts were built in the winter of 2018.  The courts are nestled in the hillside between the Campus Loop Road and Hay Field House.  The courts have lights of their own, and when the tennis court lights are on, the venue lights up perfectly.

There is room between The Sand Box and the tennis court fence to put up team tents and to bring spectator chairs.  The venue has a foot and body shower as well as a water bottle filling station that are available March-September.  Parking is available in the lot across from the tennis courts.  No alcohol is permitted.

Please Note – During 4:30-6:30pm, all students and athletes of Principia will have priority usage of the athletic facilities. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.
