Senior (2020)
This is Sophia’s third varsity sport of the year. After finishing her Indoor eligibility last year, Soph played Soccer in the fall and then moved straight into basketball. Sophia had a stellar hoop’s season and is now back with us for Beach. Sophia brings a sparkling brilliance to the game, along with a childlike joy. Sophia has solid ball control, and a varied offense. Her love of the game and her willingness to do whatever it takes makes her a crowd favorite!

Senior (2019)
Sophia ended her indoor career with over 1200 kills and over  1400 digs, and as the #1 server for her four years, so this kid has the whole package. Soph will join us after basketball season is over, and we look forward to her improved fitness to work well with her IQ and skill set to have her enjoy a strong beach season.

Sophomore (2017)
Sophia is one of our top outside hitters for the indoor team and this will be her second beach season for the Panthers.  Sophia brings confidence and control to the beach game where she takes advantage of her shot-making capabilities each play.  Sophia continues to advance in her knowledge of the beach game- it will be exciting to watch her develop even more this beach season!

Freshman (2016)
Sophia was a standout indoor player for Principia this year, and then she moved on to basketball for the winter.  Although we just got her back in the sand for beach volleyball, she is already showing that she has the IQ and the desire to excel at this sport as well!  Sophia’s natural competitiveness and strength are her advantages as she learns this new sport!


Fun Facts

1.)  When did you start playing volleyball and why?
I started playing volleyball in seventh grade because I wanted to be involved in a lot of athletics and that was one of the four offered to the seventh graders.

2.)  What do you love most about playing volleyball?
I love the team aspect of volleyball the most. Volleyball only works if you play as a group and communicate each other. This then correlates to having amazing friends off the court and a support system that stretches far beyond the court.
