Senior (2018)
This will be Emelie’s 3^rd year on the beach, after four years on the soccer pitch competing for our varsity team each fall. Emelie is a tough competitor and a great teammate, showing true determination and grit always. Emelie’s ball control showed nice progress last year, and her ability to execute offensively is good. Em is also ready to bring some more power to her offense this season.

Junior (2017)
Emelie was a major contributor to our beach team last year as she competed on one of our top teams.  Emelie is also a soccer player for the college, and we love that she can come compete in beach volleyball in the spring!  Emelie is very athletic and competitive and she demonstrates that each time she touches the ball.  We expect more great things from Emelie this year.

Sophomore (2016)
Emelie comes to us after taking a break from volleyball for a couple of years due to the conflict in college between soccer and indoor volleyball.  Emelie was a great high school indoor player and she is excited now that beach volleyball offers her the chance to get back into the game of volleyball without having to sacrifice soccer.  Emelie is an excellent athlete, with a very natural knack for the beach game, with the importance of placing shots and diving after balls!  We are so excited to have her on the team!

1.)  When did you start playing beach volleyball and why?
I started playing last spring when it first became an NCAA DIII sport. I can't play indoor because it conflicts with soccer so I was so excited to be able to play volleyball in some form in college.

2.)  What do you love most about playing beach volleyball?
Diving in the sand. It feels so epic and it doesn't hurt as much as wood floors.
