Senior (2017)
Cha had a great Beach season, and built her offense and competitive nature for sure! Cha is a captain for us and always has the best of the team in her thought. She sets the standard in work ethic, team bonding, and as a tough competitor. She will do whatever the team needs, and with a great attitude. Cha will see time swinging at the ball this year, along with her usual back court duties.

Junior (2016)
Cha Cha is coming off of a stellar Beach season, and we can’t wait to see her indoors. Her ball control, confidence and IQ really grew and we are excited to see another notch of maturity in her game and leadership, as co-captain of the team. Cha Cha has extensive experience as a fine DS, and her serve can really throw the opponent off.

Sophomore (2015)
Cha Cha returns this year with a solid year of collegiate ball under her belt.  Cha Cha was one of the first players off the bench last year to come in for hitting and for defense- she contributed 69 digs for the season, and she showed us that she is a fiery and competitive presence!  Cha Cha upped her fitness with a year of indoor track and also trained hard at the indoor and sand practices in the spring.  


Freshman (2014)
Cha Cha is from Santa Barbara, California where she played at her local high school, Dos Pueblos HS and also played for Santa Barbara Volleyball Club and Montecito Volleyball Club.  She played as an outside hitter and more recently as a defensive specialist for her teams.  Cha Cha is a natural leader, playing the role of captain for both her school team and her club team. Cha Cha also is an excellent student, volunteers for her community and loves to surf!  We can't wait to see her in action with the team! 

Fun Facts

1.)  When did you start playing volleyball and why?
            I started playing volleyball in 6th grade because that’s what every sixth grader does in Santa Barbara! I loved the sport and started playing club volleyball in 8th grade and continued in high school and college!

2.)  What do you love most about playing volleyball?
            I’ve played so many positions that there isn’t one specific part of the game that I love the most. What excites me most about volleyball is how the team has to work together as a whole to achieve success. Each individual player brings their own unique skills, talents and traits to the court, and they all blend together in harmony!
