Biography
Senior Year (2016)
As a junior, Ross found himself as a starting center-back. A vocally quieter force, Ross uses his size to be dominate in the air and make solid tackles. Look for Ross to continue to add the strength of the defense while leading on and off the field.
Junior Year (2015)
Ross has improved each year and will be one of our veterans in the backline this year. He brings a positive and thoughtful presence to the field. He displays great leadership qualities and will be relied upon to guide the lowerclassmen. He is a good well-rounded defender- making tackles, tracking defenders, and understanding shape. This year, he will be a consistent, steady presence in the back.
Sophomore (2014)
Ross has shown steady progress since his arrival last season. As the top rookie in his class he featured in 15 games while nodding eight starts and had one ass. We expect him to improve on those numbers as he battles to secure one of the defensive spots. His cool demenor makes him a sure central figure on the defensive end of the pitch. If he continues his steady progress he could be one of the surprises this season.
Freshman Year (2013)
Ross comes to us as a highly touted player having featured prominently in both club and highschool soccer in Colorado springs area. The lanky defender is expected to make a push for a starting position on the backline. He has good range and is proving to be a solid ball winner while adept at the passing game.
1.) When did you start playing soccer and why?
I started when I was 5 at my local YMCA. Mom said I had to play to get the free snow cones after the game.
2.) What do you love most about playing soccer?
I most enjoy the feeling you get when you tackle someone hard and the rest of the game they try and avoid you.
