Senior Year (2017)
Clarice Bruch is the definition of the saying “leave it all out on the field.” As a senior, Clarice’s intelligent, gritty, fearless, and gracious play has given this team numerous beautiful scoring opportunities and finishes and impeccable defensive saves. Her all-around technical ability makes her a force to be reckoned with. We can’t wait to see what greatness Clarice brings to the field for her final season.

Junior Year (2016)
A defensive player at heart, last year Clarice found herself playing in a plethora of different positions.  After discovering she was a player we could rely on to score goals, she found herself in the attack as a forward more often where she ended up scoring a total of six goals.  In our game against Spalding, she scored both goals to keep Principia in the lead and end the game with a tie.  It was after this game we realized the value she brought, not only as a defender but as an attacker.  This year, her versatility will allow us to make formation changes during the game to keep the opposition on their toes.         

Sophomore Year (2015)
As a freshman last year, Clarice played a significant role and with a killer left foot, found her home as our starting left back.  Her speed was dangerous in the attack and a welcomed saving grace in the back.  Her big foot made for great crosses or long-ranged shots, having scored two goals last year.  Through her continued growth, she will be a dominant defender this year.      

Freshman Year (2014)
We are so excited to have Clarice on our team this year. Already, she has proven herself to be technically sound, a hard worker and a very sweet teammate. As a defender, her physical stature gives her a leg up on smaller opponents, and her grit means not too much gets past her without a hard fight. However, what’s most admirable about Clarice is her humility. So gracious in her achievements and selfless in her praise of others, she’s a wonderful example, and a wonderful teammate to work with.   

1.)  When did you start playing soccer and why?
    I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old, but I honestly can’t remember why. Maybe because my brother started playing?

2.)  What do you love most about playing soccer?
       I love the freedom and creativity that expressed on the field. (But scoring goals is pretty fun, too.)
