Senior Year 2022-23
Payton missed nearly all of last year with injury, but is returning this year on a mission to end his career on a high note! Payton, our grizzled veteran, is a versatile player who can shoot it from deep and finish in the paint as well. His length gives him an advantage over smaller guards, and his speed gives him an advantage over bigger players. Look for Payton to have a great senior season and finish his career with a bang!

Junior Year 2021-22
Payton is returning for his Junior season with the Panthers this year. This will be a big year for Payton, coming back very eager to play after having the 2020-2021 season canceled. Payton is a forward with an impressive guard skill set as well. He is a long and athletic scorer that plays above the rim at both ends of the court. Already listed as 9th on the career blocked shots record board and was the Panthers 2nd leading scorer with 15 points a game in his season prior. Payton brings a lot to the table for the Panthers in only his Junior season. We are excited to see him play!

Sophomore Year 2019-20
After taking a season off, Payton is back on the Panthers roster, and he brings an incredible amount of athleticism and length to this team. Payton’s ability to knock down three-pointers, defend multiple positions, and rebound will all be instrumental to the success of this year’s team. Payton will take a big step forward in terms of minutes this season, so look for him to adapt to his new role as a focal point of the Panthers team this season.

Freshman Year 2017-18
We are so excited to welcome Payton to the team this season. Payton comes from the Principia Upper School and has huge potential. Payton's height and length combined with his skills makes him a dynamic player able to play both guard and forward positions. Look for Payton to be a big contributor to the team in his first year.  

When did you start playing basketball and why?
I started playing the game of basketball in 4th grade because my dad was a basketball coach and I grew up around the game.

What do you love most about playing basketball?
I love the team and being able to compete with your best friends.
