Senior (2009)
Teddye is one of our captains this season. Teddye will be THE defender for us this season. She came through for us in quite a few tough places last season, showing the fiery competitiveness that makes me smile! With the added consistency to Teddye’s game that she worked for in the spring season, she will be a weapon on the service line, and a Hoover vacuum in the back court.

Junior (2008)

Teddye is retiring her role on the bench and jumping into the core mix of starters in this year’s defense.  Teddye has improved her basic skills and continues to perfect the details of her platform on the back row.  She is a key digger in our back court dynamic when going up against big hitters in the league.  Her vision and determination will be fundamental when looking to our defense for stability.        

Sophomore (2007)

Teddye returns to Principia this year with a renewed energy and some incredible defensive skills. Her ability to inspire her teammates and her toughness on the backrow will be valuable as we look to shut down opponent’s offense.

Prep/Personal

#1 - When did you start playing volleyball and what level (Club, Y, middle school)
I started playing volleyball when I was in 6th grade. I was on Club Cactus Jrs. 12-1. I have been playing for 10 yrs now.

#2 - What positions have you played and which one is your preference?
I have played as an outside, setter, ds/libero. I love them all but I prefer libero.

#3 - Have you been captain - when and how long?
12-1 Cactus, 14-1 Zona, 16-1 Cactus, 7th & 8th grade school season, freshman year school season, and sophomore year on JV before I was moved to Varsity & my senior year of college.

#4 - vb awards and honors (all-league, mvp)?
Most Inspirational, Falcon of the Week, Most Improved, Honorable Mention, & MVP my senior year of high school.

#6 - Favorite kind of music?
Everything from Bob Marley to John Mayer to Taking Back Sunday to Lil Wayne.

#7 – Favorite Food?
Sushi, chocolate chip pancakes, lasagna, blackberries & peanut butter.

#8 – Favorite Movie?
The Dark Knight & The Hangover.

#9 - If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
A Penguin b/c they're cute & have one loyal mate their entire lives.

#11 - What do you think you will be doing and where in 10 years?
Sports anchoring for ESPN in Cali or hosting my own radio show & being a wife/mommy.

Teddye. My daddy gave it to me & it has stuck with me since 2nd grade.

#13 - what do you love best about the best sport in the world - VOLLEYBALL?
The intensity, the competition, the growth, the memories, the teamwork, the friendships & the accomplishments of amazing plays!
