Coach Russell enters his first year as an Assistant Coach with the Panther Baseball team.  After graduating, he spend one year as a Graduate Assistant helping the women’s softball team.  A pitcher on the baseball team, he was a force to be reckoned with.  He had an overpowering fastball with nasty off-speed which made him one of the most unhittable pitchers that has come through Principia.  He sits #1 all time with the lowest career opponent batting average, .211.  He also has the single game strikeout record with 13 Ks.  He is third on the single season strikeout record board. 

His success on the mound and knowledge of the game will make him a valuable addition to the coaching staff.  He was a strong leader on the baseball field and well respected by his peers.  The Panthers are thrilled to get him back on the baseball diamond and working with pitchers and first basemen.
