Biography
Junior (2012)
Robert “Barney” Barnacle is coming back to the Panthers after earning some significant time at 2B. Barney has continued his work to strengthen his arm and made several plays last year that were a testament to his efforts. Barney took the fall off from baseball to play soccer. The new coaches are looking forward to watch Barney pick up where he left off.
Sophomore (2011)
"Barney" will be competing for starting time this season at 2B and in the outfield. He has the best first step on the team and if he can crack the starting lineup, he will cause the opposition problems on the bases. Last year as a freshman, Barney saw limited time on the field, but this year he has really elevated his game.
Freshman Year (2010)
"Barney" is a freshman this year, who brings speed and natural athletic ability to the team. His attitude and dedication will allow him to develop into a solid baseball player throughout his career, playing for the Panthers. Barney will play a role as a utility man for the team in his freshman year.
When did you start playing this sport and why?
Junior year in high school. I like baseball.
What do you love most about playing this sport?
Teamwork. The guys on the team make the experience.
