Biography
Junior Year (2016)
Sawyer returns for his junior campaign as one of the top pitchers on the team. Of all the returning players, he had the most innings pitched, and has the most experience on the mound. He has a great work ethic and has improved as a player and as a leader in the off season. Sawyer is a great competitor and has done a great job of helping the younger guys on the team develop. We look forward to working with Sawyer this year and to witness his continued improvement as a leader and as a ball player.
Sophomore Year (2015)
Sawyer “Saw Man” Grow has worked as hard as anyone over the off-season in preparation for this season. Sawyer has added muscle to his frame since last year and the results have translated well for him on the diamond. He has been working tirelessly on becoming stronger and fine-tuning his mechanics on the mound. Sawyer has a great arsenal of pitches and we hope to see him take some hacks at the plate this year as well. We are excited to see how Sawyer’s hard work and study of the game will translate into his on-field performance for this upcoming campaign.
Freshman Year (2014)
Sawyer joins the baseball team after playing a few months of collegiate basketball. Sawyer will be pitching for the Panthers this season and might earn a starting role by the end of the season. Sawyer’s long arms and tall stature will make it hard to for batters to connect with his downhill approach.

When did you start playing baseball and why?
I started playing in Malaysia. My dad started the second little league team in Malaysia, so I had to play.
