Senior Year (2017)
Akimie’s athletic prowess was crystal clear the moment he stepped onto the pitch at Principia College his freshman year. Now a senior, Akimie is looking to record a memorable entry into the Principia history books this season. Akimie’s speed, drive, and competitive nature have been assets to the men’s program, and he will be sorely missed. This is his year to get the job done.
Junior Year (2016)
As a sophomore, Akimie solidified himself as a force on the field. Incredible speed and passion, Akimie flies up the flank from the outside back position. His ability to track back is greatly valued. Look to see Akimie lead with both voice and action.
Sophomore Year (2015)
As a freshman last year, Akimie showed he was a gifted player. He played center back where he showcased his speed as he tracked down players. He has good technical skill and his ball movements are quick and precise. He is tactically aware and has the ability to play anywhere on the pitch. With one year under his belt, he will come into his sophomore year more confident, further developing into one of the best defenders in conference.
Freshman Year (2014)
A very versatile player in his own right, Akimie’s speed and ability to read the game will propel him to become a top player in this conference. As a product of Scott Gallagher, Akimie brings youthful energy and quality into the team. Although he is a freshman, we are expecting Akimie to emerge as a leader with his play on the field and his ability to make others around him on the field better.
