Biography

Senior Year (2017)
“El Mago,” often compared to Urguay’s “Valdivia,” is a magician with the ball at his feet. His “sixth sense” on the field allows him to anticipate his opponents’ movements and dribble around their tackles regularly. We’re glad to have El Mago back for one final season, and we hope that his contributions rise to the level that we all know they can be.

Junior Year (2015)
Laurence, also known as “el mago,” he is one of our most technically gifted players.  He brings his Brazilian style to the field and is so crafty with the ball.  He anticipates movement very well and seems to be one step ahead of opponents.  Last year he dealt with a few injuries but when he came onto the field he was an instant impact player.  He scored a couple of nice goals and this year is expected to be our consistent presence in the midfield.

Sophomore Year (2014)
Martins was clearly the steal from last years rookie class with his superior technical ability and superb touch on the ball.  When in game mode martins is as arguably one of the best technicians in the game in the league.  With limited fitness last year he only featured in 16 games with only seven starts to go along with a goal and an assist. Those numbers should sky rocket this upcoming season.  His lone goal of the season was a clever chipper from almost 40 yards over a wandering Webster netminder.  Big things are yet to come from this in-shape player.

Freshman year (2013)
Laurencce joins us from Brazil and we hope he brings a little magic with him.  He is passionate about the game and has the skills o dance around in the middle of the park.  He will feature primarily as a midfielder with an occasional cameo as a front runner as he has a knack for finding the net.
