Biography
Junior Year (2016)
Hunter is looking to have a great junior year. He ranked in the top five on the team in nearly all offensive categories a year ago. He is a force in the middle of the lineup for the Panthers and has one of the most dangerous bats on the team, yet is disciplined and patient at the plate, as he led the team in base on balls last season. Look for Hunter to have a break out season this year.
Sophomore Year (2015)
Hunter “Nemo” Mehring is coming off a very strong freshman campaign and looks to make even larger contributions this season. Nemo’s bat will be an invaluable asset to our team, as he looks to improve on his .343 average from last year. Hunter can hit for power and average and has his eyes set on becoming the first ever to hit a ball off of the Observatory Tower beyond the centerfield fence. Expect to see Nemo throw more innings this year off the mound as well, as he brings a wide array of talents to this squad.
Freshman Year (2014)
Hunter will be an immediate contributor to the squad this season, both offensively and defensively. His 36’’ 33 oz. bat connects with the ball more times than not and his huge Michael Phelps-like frame generates enough power to rip the cover off the ball. Hunter will also be seen on this mound this season as he proved to be a vital component last season at Principia Upper School.

When did you start playing this sport and why?
I started playing T-Ball because my parents signed me up for it and it was fun. I always wanted to be a pitcher so I would practice the motions while I was supposed to be playing outfield.
What do you love most about playing this sport?
I might be on The Mets one day.
