Biography
Sophomore Year 2014-2015
As SLIAC’s Newcomer of the Year last season, Rachel is looking to keep improving and becoming more versatile. Rachel brings an invaluable intensity and competitiveness to the Panthers defense and offense. Look for Rachel to become more comfortable this year in her role as a guard/small forward and a leader of the team.
Freshman Year 2013-2014
Rachel comes to Principia College as an accomplished high school athlete from the Upper School. Both her and her twin sister Izzy played basketball at the high school last year. She was an integral part of the Upper School's success in both basketball and soccer. Her raw athleticism allows her to be a force as both a wing and a hybrid post. Look for Rachel to have a major impact on this year's team.
FUN FACTS:
When did you start playing this sport and why?
I started playing basketball in 3rd grade because all of my friends played and it looked fun, but started taking it seriously in 6th grade when I joined an AAU team. I've loved it ever since.
What do you love most about playing this sport?
I love the tenacity, energy and competition that the game presents. I also love the confidence that basketball teaches you to have, and the life lessons it teaches. Basketball is the best sport for me to represent who I am.

Food: My family's Italian cooking

Hobbies: Staying active, watching college football and basketball and supporting the New York Rangers
