Senior Year 2012-2013
 
Sarah Corbitt is a Senior Guard this season for our basketball team. Last year Sarah had a great year, and earned Honorable Mention All Conference as well as All Defensive Team. This year, Sarah will be transitioning full time to the point guard position, and will be able to lead the team both on and off the court. As a captain, Sarah is eagerly looking forward to developing the younger players and having an excellent senior year.
 
Junior Year 2011-2012

Sarah has stepped into this season as a captain of the team and one of the best guards of the conference. Last year she received SLIAC recognition as second team all conference, and this year she has already earned the SLIAC Player of the Week title for November 28-December 4. Her quickness, court awareness, and bold play only begin to explain her strengths as a player with her high numbers in points and steals. Her positive attitude and smart play has also impacted the team in the best way possible.

Sophomore Year 2010-2011
 
Sarah is on her way to becoming one of the best guards in the history of Principia. Sarah is a rare player, as she is able to maintain her strength and quickness the entire game. Sarah enters into her sophomore season with even more attention to detail and improved finishing skills. Sarah has the heart of a champion and the smile of an angel.

Freshmen Year 2009-2010
 
Sarah comes to us after having a solid high school career at the Principia Upper School, located in St. Louis, MO. Sarah is a great athlete with great speed and court awareness. We are extremely grateful to have Sarah on the team and her fearless attitude will be a key element for the team's success this season.
 
1. When did you start playing basketball and why?
 
I started playing basketball through a local church league in second grade, and I have played every winter since then.
 
2. Why do you love to play basketball?

I love being a part of a team and working together. I also simply love the feeling of being on the court.
 
3. What's the best part about playing basketball for Principia College?

I am excited for the games, because they are the best part of basketball!
