Senior Year (2019)
A steady and dependable defender, Annika will be protecting our backline as our defensive midfielder. As a midfielder, we will be able to utilize her technical and tactical skills in our attack. A captain, we are excited to watch her develop into a respected leader.

Junior Year (2018)
Our veteran center back with a cannon for a leg, returns for another season to fend off opposing attackers. Last year, Annika graciously tried different defensive positions so the team could be successful, this year we see her playing a similar role. Her presence on the field is vital; she is a solid defender with good field vision. We look forward to using her strongest skillsets to our advantage.   

Sophomore Year (2017)
Unfortunately, as a freshman, Annika only played a few games last year but we didn’t expect anything less from her. Her composed play helped our team possess the ball in our defense to create offensive attacks. As a center back, her powerful long balls, skill and voice on the field will immensely help our defense transform into a strong and dominate unit. We look forward to having Annika back this season.

1.) When did you start playing soccer and why?
I started when I was 4 years old playing for Real Colorado’s kiddie league. I fell in love after I scored my very first goal. I ran to the sidelines and jumped up into my dads arms and gave him a big hug because I was so excited. Ever since then soccer was my sport!

2.) What do you love most about playing soccer?
I love the freedom it gives you to express yourself, your talents and qualities; and the team atmosphere that pushes you to be the best person/player you can be.
