Sophomore (2016)
Playing as an outside midfielder, Laura’s speed made her a threat in our attack.  One of our smaller players, she did not shy away from bigger opponents and we saw glimpses of her true aggressiveness.  She is a smart player and we expect her to create more goal scoring opportunities this year.      

Freshman (2015)
Laura Cluthe joins our squad from Ontairo, Canada where she played soccer and basketball for her high school teams.  She played at an advanced level for a club team called the Whitby Iroquois Soccer Club.  She has the legs to run outside midfield and the ball handling skills to play center midfield.  Her athleticism and soccer experience will enhance our team’s competitive advantage.  

1.) When did you start playing soccer and why?
I started playing soccer when I was four years old because my parents put me in a community club. Since then I have played every year because I love team sports and I love to run!

2.)  What do you love most about playing soccer?
I love how every year you grow as a team. At the beginning of the season most people haven’t played together before and by the end they work so well together and improve greatly as one unit. Individuals’ skills immensely improve which help lift up the entire team.
