Senior Year (2018)
Earning Second Team All-Conference recognition last year, Arens enters her final season as captain and our starting center midfielder. She brings a positive intensity to the team, she pushes herself while providing words of encouragement. 

Junior Year (2017)
Arguably the toughest nosed player on our team, Madi returns her junior year as a captain. Having played in the back last season, Madi has become an even better soccer player with skill and understanding that enable her to be used anywhere on the field. She's fearless, tenacious, hard-working and a competitor. Having her a leader is a great asset for this team.

Sophomore (2016)
With seven goals and two assists last year, Madi had a solid showing for her freshman year and earned herself SLIAC Second Team All-Conference.  She was the engine in the center of the field, always giving her all.  Opponents underestimated her size, as she is the smallest on the team, and she knocked people twice her size down with her aggressive play.  She sliced and diced defenders with her footwork and this year we are expecting her to lead our attack.          

Freshman (2015)
All the way from St. Louis, Madi Arens joins our team for her first year of college.  Attending Principia Upper School, Arens started on varsity for the soccer team all four years.  Her advanced skill, game knowledge, and work ethic made her a valuable teammate and dangerous opponent.  She will be a game changer for our squad and immediately contribute to our team dynamic this year.      

1.)  When did you start playing soccer and why?
    I started playing soccer when I was in third grade because I wanted to be like my dad.

2.)  What do you love most about playing soccer?
       I love getting out of my comfort zone and accomplishing things that I never knew I would be able to do. Also, scoring goals.
