Freshman (2015)
Merran Waller joins our team from St. Louis.  She attended the Principia Upper School and played on the varsity soccer team for four years.  Throughout her four years, she played every position, except keeper, making her the ultimate utility player.  However, her specialty is forward because she makes very creative and intelligent runs to create space and receive passes.  This year she will help our attack and help us score lots of goals.  

1.) When did you start playing soccer and why?
I started playing soccer in kindergarten because my parents required I played two sports so I chose soccer because it’s the greatest sport in the world. Also, my dad was my soccer coach growing up.

2.)  What do you love most about playing soccer?
I love the feeling of freedom playing soccer brings. Also, there’s so much joy that comes from working hard alongside a team of spiritually high-minded people who love the game.

Movie? Rudy
TV Show?  Parks and Rec.
Food?  Donuts and smoothies
Restaurant?  Chipotle so I work there...but I also really like Monsoon Vietnamese
Hobbies?  Reading, cooking, talking
Pro Athlete?  Wayne Rooney since I was 10 years old.
Dream Job?  Working at either Patagonia or IDEO.
