Senior (2010)
Ally looks to fill the spot of libero this season. Last year she saw substantial playing time as a defensive specialist and progressed as a competitor on the court. If the spring season is any indication, Ally is ready to step in as Principia College’s new libero. Also, Ally is a caption this season. With her quiet leadership and game focus, she has a great impact on the entire team. Her incredible improvement in her serving and back-row hitting combined with her ability to deliver the ball to the setter’s hands makes her the top candidate for being our libero this year. 

Junior (2009)
Ally had a very progressive 2008, showing a glowing work ethic and picking up the pace of her game tremendously. She worked hard in the spring season to be prepared to step on the court and keep the ball alive in the back row for us this season.

Sophomore (2008)
Ally is new with us this year, but was an instant fit as soon as she joined the team.  Her work ethic is blind to frustration and her desire to accel into a definitive role in the defense is both mature and bold.  She shows a lot of promise as a back row player and will work hard this season to raise her skills to the collegiate level.

Prep/Personal 
#1 - When did you start playing volleyball and what level (Club, Y, middle school)
I started playing in 7th grade for school, and I've never done club, so I've been playing for school about 8 years now!

#2 - what positions have you played and which one is your preference
Setter, DS, and tiny but of Libero. Even though I haven't played much of it, I love playing Libero!!

#3 - have you been captain - when and how long?
I was captain my senior year of highschool for one season.

#4 - vb awards and honors (all-league, mvp)
Junior year of highschool I recieved honorable mention, Senior year of highschool I recieved 1st team allstar.

#5 - Favorite kind of music?
classic rock, rock, mellow, but I'm getting into a little bit of everything!

#6 – Favorite Food?
cooked veggies, salmon, mac and cheese, pop tarts, chocolate, all fruit

#7 – Favorite Movie?
this is too difficult, I love movies... favorite genres are comedy, action, romantic comedy, foreign films...oh! I love the HP series.

#8 - If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
I would love to be a Penguin. They are my favorite animal, and their lives are fascinating!

#9 - What is your favorite quote?
"Laugh as much as you breath, and love as long as you live"

#10 - What do you think you will be doing and where in 10 years?
I'd like to be starting a family by then while having a profession that is creative and fun! As of right now, I'd love to do something artsy like create a line of clothes, own a bakery and decorate cakes, direct fashion shows, work in advertisement for a fun company...really it changes everyday but something along those lines.

Where to start... Albert-started by K-dunts I believe. Hot Pop -started by Anne because...well I don't know why. Albal- started by Tara, because she creates nicknames for all of us!

#12 - what do you love best about the best sport in the world - VOLLEYBALL?

I love watching the NBA the most, but volleyball is my favorite to play of course! I would not be where I am today without this sport. It demonstrates being a team in the most perfect way, and I've acquired sisters for life from it. It also is one of the most intense games that I've ever played which makes me coming back for more! There is so much mental toughness to it that is a challenge to overcome, but once you overcome it, it feels awesome! There is no greater feeling for me than sprinting my hardest to get to an impossible ball, diving for it, and getting it. If you love hitting the floor hard like me, volleyball is where it's at!
