Senior (2019)
Mesa Goebel’s game improved in every way during Beach season. Mesa is the ultimate team player, moving the defense with her balance of shots and power…setting the stage for others to score as she scrambles the opponent. Mesa is smart on the court, and has added more speed to her offensive game, as well as attentive blocking!

Junior (2018)
Mesa had a great Beach season, and I can’t wait to see how that translates to her growing presence indoors. Her movement, communication, consistency and IQ all grew leaps and bounds. Mesa will be a pin hitter for us, and she also is a strong and peaceful presence for us out there. Mesa is a high impact player because of how hard she makes the starters work for everything!

Sophomore (2017)
With a year of college ball (indoor and Beach ) under her belt, Mesa is ready to swing at the pins. Her hard work to be a better off-ball player will ensure she is ready to be an offensive weapon for us. Mesa’s IQ is really coming along and that will lead to quick progress in building a balanced offense.

Freshman (2016)
Mesa played for The Principia School for the past three years, and she has competed as a Middle Blocker, Right Side, and Outside Hitter. She is known for stepping in wherever she is needed, and she fulfills that need boldly! What a great skill set for an incoming freshman! We are excited to get Mesa on the court and help her game grow. Mesa is a graduate of the National Leadership Council, a four-year servant leadership program for Christian Science teens dedicated to fostering spiritual growth, leadership qualities and a service approach to life.

1.) When did you start playing volleyball and why?
5th grade because I was super tomboy and wanted to try all the sports. Also my mom coached volleyball and my sister played. They are my role models in life 

2.) What do you love most about playing volleyball?
I love the feeling of pure intensity in the middle of a rally when both teams are committed to keeping the ball from the floor
