Senior (2014)
Savanna ended last season as #3 in the SLIAC for assists per set with 8.96 per set.  She also was SLIAC Offensive player of the week, made the SLIAC honorable mention team and made the SLIAC All Academic team!  Savanna returns as one of the four big seniors who will support the Panther offense.  Savanna is a quick setter who has the experience and knowledge of how to run a fast offense and how to lead the team.  She continues to lead the team with a graceful and loving presence while proving her “show by example” type of leadership with the hard work and dedication she puts into this sport.

Junior (2013)
Savanna returns to the court with a semester in Peru, and a summer of training and coaching volleyball under her belt. As the setter, her love of the game and her teammates sets the stage for a successful Panther offense. Savanna is one of the hardest workers, and is a tenacious competitor. She is ready for a big season!

Sophomore (2012)
With a year of collegiate volleyball under her Belt, Savanna will be a key support to this team. Savanna sets the bar high for her teammates with her work ethic, dedication, and commitment, and has improved in her serving and passing. With a year of collegiate Track in addition to volleyball, Savanna has a new understanding of what she is capable of. Savanna is an inspiring presence for the team, and the coaches look forward to the positivity and boldness Savanna will bring as she plays as a setter and defensive specialist.     

Freshman (2011)
Savanna comes to Principia College Volleyball with the determination and heart of a champion. After playing as a starter on her varsity high school team for four years with three years of club experience, Savanna will be a steady, consistent presence. She played as a setter all throughout high school while also developing skills as a defensive specialist. Savanna is always looking for ways to better understand the game, utilize her teammates, and unify her team. Look for this young and daring player as she sparks the team with her positivity.

Nickname: Sav/Savy

When did you start playing this sport and why?
I’ve literally grown up in the gym, watching practices and games, but I didn’t actually start playing competitive volleyball until the 4th grade. I started playing volleyball because I grew up around it and it is the most fun thing in the world.

What do love the most about playing this sport? I love the team aspect. When playing volleyball, you realize how important your own individual discipline, mental toughness, and focus because it truly affects your entire team! So, my favorite thing is learning to love and play the game for my teammates!
