Men’s Soccer Shuts out MacMurray College in SLIAC Encounter

The Principia Men's soccer team earned their 4th shutout of the season 4-0 over the Highlanders of MacMurray in their first meeting of the season in Jacksonville, IL on Tuesday afternoon.    Ricky Seaman opened the scoring in the 22nd minute taking a “Yaw Danso# through pass and blasting it past the highlander custodian. Danso would prove provider again in the 30th minute as he put Spencer Brown through to nod his first on the day.  In the 53rd minute, the folklore of Shea Vice was announced as he stepped to the ball to take a scintillating bender from outside the box following a foul on Colin Angle to claim his first collegiate goal. Brandon Mckee would close the proceedings with a clinical finish off a superb serve from Angle. The Panthers who dropped to 14th in the nation in the latest NSCAA polls and 2nd in the central region travel to Chesterfield, Mo to take on NAIA power Missouri Baptist on Thursday night in what figures to be a good out of conference test for the Panthers.
