Elsah, IL - The Prin Men's basketball team came back after the winter break playing their best conference game in two seasons with a 76-59 victory. The Panthers lead by as many as 28 points with under five minutes left. The men have now won two in a row and are 1-1 in SLIAC play, 3-6 overall.
Prin put together it's best shooting night in several seasons with their new offense shooting 55% from the field and 56% from beyond the arc. The team's balanced attack was lead by junior captain Todd Zimmermann who nearly missed a tripple double with 15 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds. Senior captain
Sam Douglas led all scorers with 20 points shooting 8-10 from the field and making all three of his 3's.
It was smart, tough play that made the difference in this game. The Panthers committed only 13 turnovers, made seven steals, and outrebounded Blackburn 40-35. The key was the combination of many Prin defenders who kept Blackburn's leading scorer at 25 points per game, Rod Sykes to just 8 points.
Sophmore Coliln Angle added 12 points and 4 steals. Senior
Isaac Swiderski, who decided to join the team after winter break was 3 of 3 from the floor with 4 rebounds in 10 minutes. This was his first game back in two seasons. Also rounding out the attack were senior

The Panthers travel to Greenville to play Greenville College (SLIAC 0-2) this Thursday night at 8pm and host Webster University next Saturday at 3pm.
