Box Score GREENVILLE, ILL. -- Today the Principia Panthers travelled to Greenville to play one of their biggest rivals, the Greenville Panthers. The wind was blowing, making making it more difficult to keep possession of the ball for both teams. Greenville played hard and got the first goal of the game, but in the last two minutes of the first half freshman, Gabby Martin capitalized on a scoring opportunity tying the game before the half. Second half Principia had the wind at their back and were able to keep the ball in Greenville's end of the field. Senior,
Kelly DeWindt scored the game winning goal from 25 yards out making the score 2-1. Greenville had a few close opportunities, but was unable to put any more points on the scoreboard.
Principia did a great job tackling hard, and winning the ball back in the midfield and defense. It was an important win for the Panthers and will face another challenging team next Tuesday when they take on Washington University in St. Louis.
