11-0, Panthers take another conference game decidedly

Box Score ELSAH, ILL. -- Tonight, the Panthers hosted the MacMurray Highlanders under the lights. Within the first 12 minutes of play the Panthers were up 4-0 and by the end of the half the score was 8-0. Hayley Cooke broke open the flood gates within the first 3 minutes of play scoring off a corner crossed by Rachel Publicover. Cooke scored again three minutes later from an assist by Carlie Sanderude. Publicover then put the ball in the back of the net off a set piece taken by Cristina Post, followed soon after by Sanderude's goal off a corner kick, heading the ball in. Kristen Crandall found the back of the net taking a long shot at the top of box and Crandall again put away another ball crossed by Justine Roy through the 18'. Gabby Martin scored the seventh goal for the Panthers and Karina Olsen found the back of the net in the last two minutes of play in the first half.

The scoring continued in the second half as Hayley Cooke scored her third goal of the game. Center back, Dylan Hannigan came up from the back to throw her rocket of a throw-in into the 18 to find Hayley MacWilliams' head who flicked the ball on where Cooke tipped the ball into the goal. Nadine Marczi scored the10th goal for the Panthers. Julianna Mangelsdorf passed the ball through the Highlanders' defensive line where Marczi finished with a shot. The final goal was scored by Hayley MacWilliams, assisted by Justin Roy ending the game at 11-0.

It was a great night of scoring for the Panthers, but the Golden Boot award was given to Hayley Cooke for her hat trick.

The Panthers are ready for their next conference game against Greenville this Saturday.
