Volleyball takes MacMurray in three straight

--Elsah, IL

Box Score The energy in Hay Field house was great tonight as the Panthers took on the Highlanders of MacMurray. Family, friends, recruits, professors – lots of support in the stands and they were loud and proud. Thanks!

Prin was like a race horse out of the gate –fast and furious! The Panthers quickly had a 9-3 spread, and then 15-4, 20-6, and finally won game one 25-9. Principia maintained control of the match, and won in three straight sets. Everyone played solid minutes, and Prin was successful in playing the game they had set out to play.

Sierra Sprague and Lily Richards lit it up tonight with a solid seven kills apiece, Sierra with zero errors (.467) and Lily with one (.545). The ball control was tight tonight, so the Panthers could run their offense effectively, and we had six people record 5-7 kills! The 100% serving club tonight included Christine Nacewicz and Sierra Sprague, and Sierra picked up 11 digs as well. Tess Rountree and Summer Switzer also picked up 11 digs, and Savanna recorded eight.

The volleyball team  is 10-6 and plays SLIAC opponent Iowa Wesleyan and non-conference Hannibal LaGrange this Saturday.
