Scott Ross took the ball in game one and pitched another quality game going the distance allowing just five hits and striking out three batters. In the first inning the Panthers were able to jump out to an early two run lead, but Greenville would answer scoring 6 runs over the next three innings. Scott would settle in and only allowed one run over the next three innings to give the Panthers a chance. With the score 7-3 the Panthers would mount a comeback in the 7th inning scoring two on a blast off the bat of
Darren Gude who connected for his second home run of the season.
Gavin Thomas followed with a single, but Greenville was able to get a strike out and then got a double play to end the game. Offensively
Darren Gude and
Scott Ross each drove in two runs.
Game two was a lot closer than the 12-4 score would indicate as Greenville used 7 runs in the final two innings to open up the game. Sophomore
Gavin Thomas got the start on the mound and pitched tough going 7 innings, allowing only 4 hits and striking out three. Gavin struggled with his command at times walking 7 batters, but did a good job controlling the damage. Greenville would strike first with two runs in the second and one run in the third. The Panthers would answer with a run in the 4th inning to close the gap at 3-1. Greenville scored one in the 5th and 6th inning to take a 5-1 lead. The Panthers would answer with two runs in the 6th and one run in the 7th to cut the lead to 5-4. Greenville would put the game out of reach with 5 runs in the 8th and 2 runs in the 9th. Offensively the Panthers finished the game with 7 hits.
Spencer Clevenger lead the offense with a 2 for 5 effort and stole two bases to move his total to 18 stolen bases for the season,

Dallen Russell,
Kendall Shoemake, and Robert Barnalce all collected a hit in the game.
Christian Thomas walked three times and 6 times in the double header. The Panthers played two of its better games and showed toughness in the losses.
The Panthers are back in action after a short turnaround as they travel to Fontbonne University in a conference matchup Friday April 26th at 12:00 pm at Shaw Park.
