Box Score On Saturday afternoon the Principia College Panthers hosted conference rivals Greenville College and came out on the short end of a 66-76 loss. Principia could not find the basket in the first half going 0 for 10 from the three point line and 7 for 31 from inside the arc. Greenville was shooting at a 52% clip and stretched their halftime lead to 18 points, 36-18. In the second half, Principia outscored Greenville 48-40 but were unable to get out of the hole they had fallen into during the first half.
Kenny Sydness led the Panthers with 27 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.
Matt Jones had 12 points and did a nice job of handling the full court press. Principia will next host Fonbonne University on Tuesday night at home. Tip-off will be at 8:00 pm.
