Panther Baseball Drops Game to Blackburn College

Box Score Carlinville, IL.-

The Panthers dropped game one of the conference series against Blackburn College 14-1. The Panthers struggled defensively and Blackburn took advantage of the mistakes. Freshman Sawyer Grow got the start and threw 4 innings and was able to get lots of grounds balls, but the Panthers were unable to make enough plays. Freshman Hunter Mehring pitched 2 innings in relief and did a solid job. Offensively the Panthers had three hits on the afternoon. Ed Bargmann, Spencer Clevenger, and Christian Thomas all had hits.

The Panthers continue their conference series against Blackburn tomorrow Saturday April 26th with the first pitch at 1pm. The Panthers will also honor three seniors Scott Ross, Spencer Clevenger, and Luke Ball in between game one and game two.
