Gavin Thomas got the start and kept the Panthers in the game. After Webster struck for 4 runs, Gavin settled in and only allowed one run over the next 4 innings. The Panthers cut the lead to 4-1 heading into the 6
th, but Webster was able to open the game up scoring 4 times to take a 9-1 lead. Freshman
Sawyer Grow came in relief and pitched a scoreless inning allowing only one hit. Offensively, the Panthers made solid contact but only could muster one hit, a double by senior
Spencer Clevenger.
Game two Webster scored 9 runs through the first three innings to take a commanding 9-0 lead. The Panthers battled back and scored four runs over the next two innings. With the score 9-4 and the Panthers threatening, Webster was able to pickoff a Panther runner at second base to end the threat. Webster responded with a two run 5
th inning and then scored three in the 7
th. Freshman
Hunter Mehring got the start on the mound and was then relieved by
Tyler Nichoson. Freshman
Parker Tibbetts finished the game on the mound for the Panthers.
Offensively, the Panthers had 7 hits.
