Volleyball goes 1-1 on the day

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 New Albany, IN. -- The Prin women took the court against Eureka, and over two hours later came away with the "w".  25-27, 25-19, 25-13, 22-25, 15-13 showed the team's perseverance, as well as their endurance.

The Panthers put together 16 aces - Mia Gill leading the charge with 5, and Molly Moser and Sophia Hathaway each adding 4. There were four Panthers digging in double digits – Mia leading with 18! Sophia put down 20 kills hitting .425, and Emily Tippetts and Sierra Sprague added 13(.312) and 8(.304) respectively. This was a good team win. The group stuck with it through the tough times, and we needed 11 to step in and compete!

After a 30 minute break the Panthers met Westminster for the second time this season. After beating Westminster the  first week of the season, the tables were turned and the Blue Jays earned the win today. It wasn't the best outing for Prin, even though there were plenty of good things happening. After dropping game one 21-25, Prin had a tough time scoring. The Panthers were playing hard, serving hard,   and competing boldly, but the Blue Jays' hard hitting and topspin serving created just enough stress on the Panther side to stifle their ball control and ability to transition. As a result, there were too many hitting errors to be competitive and no momentum could be found.

Come to Hay Fieldhouse this Tuesday night to cheer on the volleyball team as they take on Robert Morris Springfield!
