Box Score Elsah, ILL. -- Principia took on Fontbonne, and after five grueling games the Griffin's ended up with the "w". The Panthers were plagued by errors in the first couple of games – hitting and serving, and those errors led to a 2-0 Fontbonne lead. Principia kept fighting, and even though the errors were still there in game three – the women were successful at taking Fontbonne out of their game a bit and earned a 25-22 win. Game four was much better for the Panthers with 10 team kills and only 1 hitting error and 1 service error. Prin won the game 25-21. In game five Prin kept their offense where they wanted it with 11 kills, 2 hitting errors and only 1 service error, but Fontbonne found open court that the Panthers couldn't defend multiple times enroute to a 16-14 victory over Principia.

Emily Tippetts had outstanding performances in the match. Sophia scored a triple-double with a career high 23 kills (with only 2 errors out of 64 swings hitting .328), 15 assists, and 21 digs, and two block assists. Emily put down 11 kills (zero errors out of 28 swings hitting .393) and recorded three block assists.
