Box Score St. Louis, MO. -- The Panthers traveled to St. Louis to take on Harris Stowe, and came home with the "w" finishing their season 18-10!
The team served up 10 aces, dug 79 hits, blocked 9 balls, and killed 38 in this victory. Harris Stowe was quick and hit hard, and the Panthers kept getting stronger as the night went on – becoming more effective defensively and offensively.
Devon Marunde, Sophia Hathaway, Nikki Matters, Noelle Shoemake, and Mia Gill all tallied aces, with Sophia serving up three. Harris Stowe gave the Panthers plenty of opportunities to dig as they aggressively went after their offense. Devon, Mia, Cha Cha Fisher, and Sophia dug 10 or more balls and Devon led the way with 18. Offensively Sophia and Emily Tippets set the pace with 12 and 11 kills respectively. Nikki and Noelle chipped in 5 and 4 as well.
The Panthers move into their fall Beach season next week – taking advantage of unseasonably warm temperatures to move the needle on their sand game!
