On a chilly night, the Principia Panther Women's Tennis Team took on the Blackburn Beavers in a SLIAC matchup. The Panthers came out focused, taking all three doubles matches and going up 3-0. They continued building on this momentum in the singles play as they were able to take all six singles matches as well, winning by a final score of 9-0.
In doubles, all three teams took care of business by playing steady and limiting their unforced errors.
Paige Cooley and
Caitlin Carney won 8-0 at the 1
st doubles spot. Both the 2
nd doubles team of Hanne Anderson and
Anh Vu as well as the 3
rd doubles team of
Justine Roy and
Lena Carlson won 8-1.
In singles, the Principia women all played well as they only dropped 6 games total in singles in the entire match.
The Women's Tennis Team plays their last at home match against Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday at 2:00 PM. After that they take on the Webster Gorloks in a match to determine first place in the SLIAC. This match will be played on Monday, April 11
th at 6:00 PM at Webster University.
