Box Score Pella, IA. -- The Principia men's soccer team traveled to Pella, Iowa for a face-off against the Central Dutchmen at high noon. Unfortunately the men's team came out flat with lackluster energy combined with a field of play very different from the beautiful pitch at home. The Panthers were able to go into halftime tied 0-0 after many good opportunities that either
Ian Carlson made great saves on or the Dutchmen squandered.
The second half was better for Principia but an unfortunate goal put Central up 1-0 early on. Despite attempts and with continued stellar and important saves from Carlson, Principia could not find the back of the net and left the field after ninety minutes coming up short.
The men return home on Tuesday for their final non-conference game hosting Milliken before conference play begins on Saturday.
