Jacksonville, ILL. -- Principia Men's Soccer traveled to Jacksonville, IL to play their sixth conference game this season, taking on MacMurray College in a 1pm match.
Coming into the match Principia was looking to bounce back after a tough 2-1 loss Homecoming weekend. Principia started the game with high intensity and looked to put a goal away quickly.
Kaleb Keller opened his fantastic day with a goal in the 17
th minute. Kaleb went on to score 3 more goals to give him 4 goals for the match. Principia combined well on offense and pressed hard defensively to dominate the match and secure the 4-0 victory.
In the second half several players got into the rotation and kept the high intensity play that the starters had initiated. Senior
Zeke Ouellette got into the match and controlled the midfield with several spirited runs and pinpoint passes. Principia bounced back nicely and improved to 5-1 in conference play.
Good to Know:
The Panthers controlled the majority of the game and outshot the Highlanders 18-2.
Kaleb Keller had a big impact on today's match as well as the season with 4 goals today and 16 on the season.
