St. Louis, MO. -- Principia traveled to St. Louis today to take on the Webster Gorloks in a conference game.
The Panthers had a solid first half. Webster is the number one team in the conference. Principia was able to mount several solid attacks and create opportunities but were not able to finish.
Libby Lewis made some great saves and had an overall solid game. The Panthers went into halftime down 2-0 but with fighting spirits.
Unfortunately in the second half, the Gorloks came out hard and Principia seemed to just run out of gas as the half carried on. Ultimately the Panthers would concede five more goals and were unable to find the back of the net themselves.
Madison Arens,
Clarice Bruch, and
Emma Dixon all had solid games for the Panther cause.
They said it:
"We let the game get away from us in the second half. A couple goals were unfortunate but we need to be able to keep fighting and finish our opportunities when presented. On to the next one..."
