Elsah, ILL. -- Today the Principia Panthers hosted their final game of the 2017 campaign against Fontbonne University.
Before the game, the seniors of Principia were honored along side their families for their dedication to the program these last four years. Emelie Fredikson,

Vanessa Ramirez-Jasso and Alex Weitman have all been solid contributors and had quality games today in their final minutes.
After a rough game on Tuesday, the Panthers were determined to have a strong finish. With all four seniors starting, Principia came our hard. Despite giving up a goal in the 15th minute, the Panthers had a great first half. Mounting attacks, thwarting the Griffins' attacks and threading quality sequence passes together, Principia showed the kind of team they are.
In the second half, Fontbonne took advantage of Principia's mishaps and were able to put three more goals away. These goals did not stop Principia from continuing to move forward and put the pressure on the Griffins. The entire team fought for their seniors, fought for the team they have worked so hard to become.
Principia closes out the season with a better understanding of what PCWS is and what steps the team will be taking to ensure that the successes will be reflected on the scoreboard as well. Once again, a huge thank you to the seniors who gave so much to this program and this team in particular.
