Kingsville, TX. -- The Panthers took the court for two more matches this morning, playing with rain storms all through the day. Wind, sun, sand and rain - its all part of the sport, and the women got everything except the sun!
Makena Patterson and
Noelle Shoemake earned the Panthers' lone victory at #3 today against Missouri Baptist. The entire tournament gave the women opportunities that demanded their best ball control and consistency. Each team found their gameplan, and worked to execute without too many unforced errors. Â It was beautiful when they did, but the opponents won the consistency game and therefore the matches.Â
The refs found Coach Sprague to brag on the gritty pursuit of the ball they saw in the Principia women. They said they were impressed and inspired! Now it's time to shore up the skill set with laser like accuracy!Â
The Panthers host Missouri Baptist Tuesday March 14 at their home court - The Sandbox - beneath the outdoor tennis courts. Match play begins at 4:30pm.Â
