Elsah, ILL. -- Principia Men's Soccer hosted Central College from Iowa in an evening game in Elsah IL.
The first half of the game was played fairly even as both teams put together a few chances on goal without success. For the first 40 minutes of the game neither team was able to put a shot in goal, until just before the half Central broke the dead lock with a pinpoint cross and finish with just three minutes until half. Principia went into half down 1-0.
The second half was a bit more disappointing as the Panthers struggled to get a hold on the game. Just five minutes into the second half some sloppy defense and nice finish by Central player, Villanueva put them up 2-0. The Panthers attempted to raise their level of play and fought back the rest of the game until finally falling 3-0.
Good to Know
Principia struggled to keep possession and ultimately create quality chances on goal. Central out-shot the Panthers 20-8 in a tough matchup tonight.

 " We are a way better team than the effort we showed tonight. That's the bad news. The good news is we are more than capable, and get another opportunity to play better, right away, against Simpson tomorrow. "
