Elsah, ILL. -- The Lady Panthers started Homecoming weekend out with a three set win over Eureka College, and claimed the season sweep with this win. Strong serving, a patient and quick offense, and great team defense paved the way for a solid win.
The Panthers served up 10 aces with only 4 errors compared to EC's 3:4 ace to error, and
Mia Gill recorded 6 of those aces. The Panthers hit .158 compared to EC's .110, and the Panthers dug up 93 Eureka hits, while EC only picked up 80 digs. The Panther offense was spread out beautifully with everyone playing bold and within the game plan, Noelle with 12 kills and
Jessica Bayne with 9 kills hitting a match high .280.
Mia Gill dug a match high 26 balls, but the beauty was in everyone in the back row digging in double digits. Noelle earned a double double with her 12 kills and 13 digs.
The Panthers head to Jacksonville, IL to play MacMurray on Tuesday night before returning home next Saturday for Senior Day to celebrate
Sophia Hathaway,
