Fulton, MO. -- Principia Women's Soccer traveled to Fulton, Missouri today to take on the Westminster Blue Jays.
The first half was a tense one. The Panthers created a few scoring opportunities on counter attacks but mostly spent the time doing some very solid defending anchored by
Sophie Hills,
Tara Adhikari,
Kiona Sperr, and
Taylan Hayes. This led to the halftime score being 0-0 as the Panthers did a quality job marginalizing Westminster's key players.
In the second minute of the second half, Principia conceded their first goal.
Yana Wood had a solid game in the back, showing composure when winning the ball and finding outlets. The first goal didn't slow Principia though and despite the fact that they would then go on to give three more goals up, they attacked and possessed much more intelligently in the second half and had some of their best movement of the season.
Principia finishes their season with their final game at home for senior day to honor Madi Arens and host MacMurray.
