Mount Pleasant, IA. – The Women's Basketball team traveled to Iowa Wesleyan on a very cold evening! The team had a few players unable to play and had played Greenville the night before, but that didn't stop them from giving their best effort. The Panthers lost three of the four quarters as Iowa did a good job shooting the three and out-rebounded Principia. The Panthers' starting line-up was a new group with
Maddie Wann and
Kiki Holmes on the floor. They both did an excellent job.
Good to Know:
Sophia Hathaway had 19 points and
Maddie Wann contributed 8, a high for her.
Sabrina Netherwood was tough on the boards with 8 rebounds for the night. The team worked hard to cut down turnovers the second half and had only 5. Sophia continues to be tough in blocking shots with 3 for the night.
They said it:
"I was proud of the way the new starters played.
Maddie Wann shot so well from the short corner. The bench players who were unable to play were so supportive of their teammates. We look forward to our game on Saturday at Robert Morris Springfield."
