Greenville, ILL. -- The volleyball team traveled to Greenville for two SLIAC matches today. They had yet another lineup change for today, but it was an exciting one, because they finally had everyone back on the court.
A look at the match:
The Panthers opened up against top ranked Greenville. Greenville was tough, making Principia stutter on serve receive and thus creating a real challenge for the offense. Greenville's 34 kills compared to Principia's 23, and along with their superior sideout offense left Principia working very hard for every single point.
In the second match Principia still lost the sideout game 45-67, as well as the defensive game as IWU dug 71% of Prin's swing and the Panthers picked up 61% of IWU.
Good to know:
Sarah Ungerleider led the offense hitting .167 against Greenville with 7 kills.
Mesa Goebel led the offense hitting .263 against IWU with 6 kills.
Nikki Matters was close behind hitting .235 with 8 kills.
