Carlinville, ILL. -- The Panthers traveled to Carlinville to take on Blackburn College and lost in 4 games.
A Look at the match:
Game one was back and forth with both teams fighting for the lead. The Panthers pulled ahead with
Nikki Matters at the service line, and that was good because then the team struggled with serve receive after that to even the score. The Panthers kept at it and took game one 26-24. The Panthers were guilty of too many unforced errors in game two, making life too easy for the Beavers. Game three the Panthers dug themselves a hole at 4-11, and then one by one they worked to even the score at 14-14. They battled well, but Blackburn took game three. Game four was more of the same with Principia up and down, and Blackburn staying consistent enough to finish the match 3-1 over the Panthers.
