Elsah, ILL. -- The Principia College Panthers took on the top ranked Greenville University Panthers tonight at 7:00 pm. Greenville overpowered Principia and claimed a quick 3-0 win.
A look at the match:
SLIAC's #1 Greenville never let Principia get into a rhythm tonight. Their big blocks and diverse offense kept Principia scrambling while they gathered momentum for a 3-0 win. Greenville had three hitters over .500 and accumulated 10 service aces. The two teams were close in the backcourt with Principia tallying 54 digs and Greenville 59.
Good to know:
Jessica Bayne led the offense with 10 kills hitting .139 and
Nikki Matters added another 8. Those two did a nice job finding their voice and working hard on defense to get something cranking for the Panthers, and they each served up an ace. Jessica earned a double-double with 10 digs to go with her 10 hits and also tallied a solo block. Setter
