ELSAH,ILL-- The Principia women's soccer team hosted the Webster Gorlocks tonight in one of the last games of regular season. It was a game played in very cold temperatures with a rain that made it even more dramatic. The game was initially dominated by the Panthers controlling possession and playing disciplined defense. While there were really good chunks of time of this throughout the game, the Gorlocks still prevailed. Webster got their first goal around 20 minutes in and did not look back. At halftime they had doubled their score but Principia had stayed strong in spite of the score line.
The second half did not go as well defensively for the Panthers. With an unlucky PK and three other goals conceded, even Principia's several near makes would not have been enough to make up the difference.
Principia will host their final game of the season
on Saturday at 1pm vs Westminster for senior day.
