Elsah, ILL. -- The Panthers hosted Robert Morris Springfield in their first home series of the season.
Alex Stamos received the nod in the opener. Game one proved to be a pitcher's duel. Robert Morris struck first in the top of the 5
th with two outs, stringing together three singles which scored the first run of the game. The Panthers responded with a run of their own in the bottom of the sixth on a solo home run by
Aleq McMullin.
Chris Stamos picked up his first loss of the season as the Eagles pushed two runs across in the top of the eighth. The Panthers were unable to respond in the bottom of the eighth as the Eagles picked up their first win of the season.
The Panthers responded in the second game scoring two runs in the first and never looked back.
Aleq McMullin threw game two lighting up the radar gun and striking out 12.
Jack Adler and
Zach Grennie both singled in the first. McMullin helped his own cause with a sacrifice fly to score the first run and
Sean Hannan singled to center as the Panthers took a quick 2-0 lead. The Panther crowd came alive and helped spark another rally in the bottom of the second.

Spencer Cobb drew a walk, before Grennie took advantage the extra lives after two towering foul balls dropped and hit his first home run of the season. McMullin was hit by an errant pitch and
Sean Hannan laced a line drive home run down the left field line that extended the lead to 7-0.
